COVID-19 UPDATE

We understand that our resort guests may have some concerns about upcoming travel plans. We look forward to providing you and your family with the safest, most enjoyable memories on your next trip to Mt. Olympus Water & Theme Park Resort. Our parks are NOW OPEN as a “Hotel Guest Exclusive Resort”, this reduces our park capacity by 50%.  Below we’ve outlined just a few of our plans to aid in the safety and well-being of our guests throughout our resorts, water and theme parks.

Health & Safety Guidelines

Staff:

  • Upon arrival at work, all employees will have wellness and temperature checks daily.
  • Gloves and masks will be supplied for employees when necessary.
  • Employees will receive regular updates from the CDC and county health guidelines.

Parks:

Water Park

  • On March 13th the CDC stated, “There is no evidence that COVID-19 can be spread to humans through the use of pools and hot tubs. Proper operation, maintenance, and disinfection (e.g., with chlorine or bromine) of pool and hot tubs should remove or inactivate the virus that causes COVID-19.”
  • High touch areas will be disinfected throughout the day using commercial grade disinfectant products, as well as locker rooms and common areas. (Certain rides and activities will require crossing social distance barriers for safety checks, loading, and unloading of patrons.)
  • Water attractions will utilize social distancing and que line-markings.
  • Markings and signage will remind guests of social distancing throughout the water park.
  • Chairs, tables and chaise lounges have been spaced out for social distancing.
  • Groups larger than 10 will be dispersed and reminded of social distancing guidelines.
  • All guests are responsible for their own actions.

Theme Park

  • High touch areas will be disinfected throughout the day using commercial grade disinfectant products, as well as ride control panels and rides themselves. (Certain rides and activities will require crossing social distance barriers for safety checks, loading, and unloading of patrons.)
  • Theme park rides will utilize social distancing and que line-markings.
  • Markings and signage will remind guests of social distancing throughout the theme park.
  • Chairs, tables and chaise lounges have been spaced out for social distancing.
  • Groups larger than 10 will be dispersed and reminded of social distancing guidelines.
  • All guests are responsible for their own actions.

Retail Stores & Concessions

  • You will have an option to complete transactions with Room Charge via a wristband.
  • Markings and signage will remind guests of social distancing throughout retail stores and concessions.
  • High touch areas will be disinfected throughout the day using commercial grade disinfectant products.
  • The retail stores and concessions have installed plexiglass barriers where appropriate.
  • Materials that need to be transferred between guests and staff will be placed on the countertop to avoid direct contact. (Items may include: cash, credit cards, etc.)

Resort:

Registration

  • Online reservations and transactions are encouraged.
  • Markings and signage will remind guests of social distancing throughout the check-in facility.
  • High touch areas will be disinfected throughout the day using commercial grade disinfectant products.
  • Hand Sanitizing Dispensers will be placed throughout the premises.
  • The front desk has installed plexiglass barriers where appropriate.
  • Materials that need to be transferred between guests and staff will be placed on the countertop to avoid direct contact. (Items may include: cash, wristbands, room keys, etc.)

Lodging

  • Rooms will undergo deep cleaning using commercial grade disinfectant products.
  • Housekeepers will not enter a room throughout the entirety of a guest’s stay.
  • Hotel employees will enter your room only when necessary to accommodate guests’ requests.
  • Markings and signage will remind guests of social distancing throughout hotels.
  • High touch areas will be disinfected throughout the day using commercial grade disinfectant products.
  • Hand Sanitizing Dispensers will be placed throughout the premises.
  • Elevators will only be used for luggage, large items, or for handicapped or disabled persons with an accompanying guest.

Mt. Olympus has taken steps to implement recommended guidelines and protocols issued by the CDC and local public health officials for slowing the transmission of COVID 19.  However, social distancing, handwashing and covering your mouth and nose with a facemask are your responsibility.  Mt. Olympus cannot make guarantees regarding your health despite our reasonable efforts to mitigate COVID 19 exposure.  By voluntarily visiting Mt. Olympus, you are assuming full responsibility for any risk of illness, bodily injury, quarantine or death.
