Park Rules

When you visit Mt. Olympus Water & Theme Park Resort, we kindly ask that you show respect to both fellow guests and our dedicated staff. We strive to provide an enjoyable and welcoming environment for everyone.

Your cooperation plays a vital role in maintaining this atmosphere. By treating others with kindness and consideration, you contribute to the positive experience of all who visit our resort. Thank you for your understanding and for helping us create memorable moments for everyone to cherish.

  • SAFETY BEFORE ENTERING
    • Parking lots are reserved for Mt. Olympus guests. You must act cautiously and pay attention at all times for yourself and those in your care (minors, elderly needing assistance, disabled persons, etc.). Please drive slowly and carefully at all times (including into and out of Mt. Olympus parking spaces, or when entering or exiting the lot), realizing that children may be running about, that the elderly or disabled may not hear or see your car, etc. Mt. Olympus is not liable for theft, break-ins, car collisions, or other property damage, and Mt. Olympus has zero liability for anything occurring on public roads.
    • A responsible adult must supervise minors under the age of 18. The adult is solely responsible for supervision of their minors. Mt. Olympus does not assume any responsibility or liability for unattended minors.
    • Have a designated meeting area and a way to communicate with all members of your party. Guests should always have a partner. Mt. Olympus does not have an intercom system to announce lost parties and is not responsible for lost children.
    • Mt. Olympus may have areas that are crowded with many distractions, elevations in surfaces, curbs, landscaping, man-made structures, snow and ice, guest possessions left lying around the park or in pathways, etc.; this is the open, obvious and inherent nature of an amusement or water park environment. As such, Mt. Olympus disclaims all liability, and shall not be held liable in any manner whatsoever, for any trip, slip, and/or fall you and/or any minor(s) in your care may suffer, nor for any injuries caused from walking or stumbling into objects or structures, or falling over objects or structures, so please watch where you are going. Due to the Virginia Graeme Baker Act, some pool grates have a raised profile off the floors as mandated by the law, which may pose a tripping hazard in pools.  By entering Mt. Olympus, you automatically agree to this waiver of all such liability.
    • Mt. Olympus does NOT provide medicine, insulin, Epi-pens or oxygen tanks, or other medical treatments or devices, other than basic first aid; please plan your visit accordingly.
    • Stay hydrated by drinking water.
    • Sunscreen is highly recommended and you should reapply frequently.
  • WATER SAFETY
    • A responsible adult must supervise minors under the age of 18. The adult is solely responsible for supervision of their minors. Mt. Olympus does not assume any responsibility or liability for unattended minors.
    • Weak/non-swimmers are recommended to wear a US Coast Guard (USCG) approved personal flotation device (PFD). Courtesy USCG PFDs are available on a first come, first serve basis but must remain in the water park. You may bring your own USCG PFD to use but they must be free of any exposed metal or sharp materials.
    • Inflatables of any kind are not allowed.
    • NO DIVING, flops, flips, or cannon balls.
    • Breath holding underwater is prohibited.
    • Prolonged exposure to chlorinated water may cause irritation to those with sensitive skin or asthma. Showering and taking breaks may prevent irritation. Mt. Olympus uses liquid chlorine as a disinfectant for our pools.
    • Wave pools are under video surveillance. Touching others inappropriately in the wave pool is unacceptable and local law enforcement will be contacted.
  • RIDE and ATTRACTION SAFETY
    • If a guest is found to be under the height requirement at any time, regardless of how many times the guest previously rode the ride, the guest will no longer be able to ride.
    • Guests must obey all signs, attendant instructions, recorded warnings and instructions while participating on the rides using this facility. If you have questions, please ask an attendant. If you see something unsafe, please tell an attendant.
    • Before getting on a ride, make sure to observe the ride in operation and how people board and exit. If anything makes you uncomfortable about participating, please do not participate. If you do choose to participate, realize that you are assuming all risks of the ride or attraction in which you are participating.
    • Amusement and water rides may put substantial strain and forces on your body and senses, through rapid acceleration, speed, sudden movements, and the unpredictable motion of a ride, which may thrust your body about in different directions, causing possible muscular strain and stress on your body such as on your neck and back, and accelerated heart rate and blood pressure.
    • Do not participate in any ride, activity or attraction if you are under the influence of any alcohol, drugs (whether legal medication or illegal substances), or other substances which may affect your health, senses, and body reflexes and coordination.
    • Do not participate in any ride, activity, or attraction, if you have any health conditions or pre-existing conditions or injuries, or if you are too afraid to participate, including without limitation heart, nerve muscle, back, neck, bone, joint, brain, eye, ear, or other ailment or injury, or if you are pregnant or have had surgery in the past few months or if you are still recovering from any illness or medical condition, treatment or procedure. Only you can determine if you feel good enough to safely participate in a ride or attraction. Mt. Olympus does not, and cannot, guarantee your health, and you fully assume all risks of any Mt. Olympus ride or activity in which you choose to participate. For further information please see the Wisconsin State Statute 895.52
    • Please understand that people may be excluded or removed from certain rides, attractions, areas of Mt. Olympus, and/or certain activities, in the interests of safety as determined by park personnel. This may include, but is not limited to, concerns with sight-disabled people who need adequate eyesight to safely engage in an activity, height and weight restrictions, mobility and/or use and the existence of all limbs in a stable and coordinated manner, a clear and alert mind which is unaffected by mental disability or other hindrance, signs of heat illness, any loose headwear or clothing or apparel which may damage property or pose a hazard to a guest or others, and whether or not a person may appear to be ill or injured or otherwise unable to safely participate.
    • Prosthetics, Medical Devices & Ride Safety – Not Permitted.  For your safety and the safety of others, riders with medical devices will be prohibited from certain rides (e.g., a cast, or a back brace).  Please keep in mind that most amusement or water rides generate forces upon the body, and are therefore or not suitable for people with existing injuries.  In other instances, riders may be required to remove medical devices, including half or full-length orthotics, braces, crutches, canes, prosthetics, and any other type of medical assistance device that is not permanently affixed to the rider’s body. These rules are necessary to prevent serious hazards associated with medical devices or prosthetics coming loose—which can result in severe injuries to the rider or other persons. These devices may also cause damage to a ride. These devices may also prevent safety restraints from working as designed, may present hazards with a rider getting in or out of a ride, and interfere with the rider’s ability to maintain a securely safe and proper riding position. We cannot rely on assurances that “my prosthetic won’t come off”—there is no means for Mt. Olympus to verify the reality of that assurance on a case-by-case basis, or to ensure that a prosthetic is so securely attached that it won’t detach during a particular ride experience. Please speak to a park manager with any questions or for further clarification on a ride-by-ride basis. If permitted on a ride without the prosthetic device, we ask that you have a friend or family member take possession of the device while you enjoy a ride; if that is not possible, we will try our best to assist you by retaining the device until you have enjoyed your ride (notwithstanding, please understand that we are not a “bailee” and we cannot assume responsibility for any devices, nor shall we incur liability for theft, loss or damage).  In addition, please understand that there are some rides where the existence of all limbs may be necessary for you to be safely restrained. In such situations, for everyone’s safety, we regret that we cannot allow any such person to go on those rides.
  • CONDUCT

Guests must behave in a friendly, considerate, respectful, and courteous manner, and in a manner which is safe for themselves and for others. Violations may result in ejection from Mt. Olympus itself, without refund or other compensation. They may also result in Mt. Olympus contacting appropriate law enforcement authorities and potential ban. The following is strictly prohibited, subjecting the violator or those involved, regardless of fault, to ejection from Mt. Olympus Parks and Resort:

    • Mt. Olympus wristbands are required to be worn while in Mt. Olympus and allow re-entry to the park during your stay. The wristbands are property of Mt. Olympus. Staff may require you to remove or photograph the wristband you are wearing. Failure to comply will result in immediate ejection from the park and resort.
    • Line jumping or holding a place in line is prohibited. Once vacating your place in line, you must re-enter at the end, no matter the reason. Management reserves the right to advance guests to the front of the line at their discretion.
    • Please respect people with disabilities, the elderly, and the infirm.  Please be patient if you are waiting in line, while we seek to accommodate a guest with special needs.
    • Fences, railings, and banisters should never be leaned on, sat upon, stood upon, twirled on, or jumped/vaulted over. Doing so causes damage to Mt. Olympus property and people may get injured.
    • Mt. Olympus does not tolerate aggressive or threatening behavior.  This includes fights (physical or verbal), challenges to fight or any threat thereof (whether to an intended victim or comments in general expressing a desire or intent to hurt another person), harassment or any form of physical assault upon or intimidation of another person whether guest or staff. You may also be ejected for any pushing, roughness, “chest bumping,” aggressive moves (e.g., clenching fists, getting face-to-face with another, getting into a fighting stance, etc.), or other physically aggressive conduct.
    • Offensive Conduct. Guests should be civil courteous of one another. Prohibited conduct includes profanity, cursing, making offensive comments or gestures, pushing, spitting, flashing of body parts, and other offensive conduct.
    • Unruly Behavior. “Horse playing” at Mt. Olympus can be dangerous to you and to those around you. All manner of “horseplay” is prohibited, including without limitation, no jumping over any objects (benches, fences), no diving or jumping into water structures, climbing/hanging on trees or structures (buildings, rockwall posts, etc.), climbing up or jumping over barricades and fences, wrestling, playing tag or chasing each other, throwing items (shoes, food, rocks, sticks, rafts or inner tubes, etc.), jumping down stairs, twirling around banisters, gymnastics-like activities (kart wheels, flips, splits, handstands, etc.), or any sports-like activity (throwing a football or Frisbee across crowds, kicking a ball around the park, etc.).
    • Please walk through Mt. Olympus (no running – it poses a collision, trip, slip, and fall hazard), stay on the walkways, and always watch where you are going. Refrain from entering any landscaped planting areas—flower beds are not meant for guests to tread upon. Exercise caution around stairs and elevation changes.
    • Surfaces may be slippery or wet—especially when it has rained.  Bathrooms, on and around any water attractions, and in cafes or food areas may be slippery.
    • Touching others inappropriately in the wave pool is unacceptable and local law enforcement will be contacted.
    • Sexual activity, and displays of sexuality, are inappropriate. Guests may be asked to cease such activity and warned about the possibility of an ejection, or they may be ejected without refund (at Mt. Olympus’s discretion, depending on all factors). In the more offensive and graphic instances, the offending persons may be held for law enforcement. In any event of reported sexual misconduct, Mt. Olympus may eject offending persons or hold them for law enforcement depending on all of the facts and circumstances of the alleged misconduct. In such instances, the alleged victims (or their parent/guardian, if they are minors) will be consulted on whether or not they want law enforcement involved. However, regardless of a parent/guardian’s wishes, Mt. Olympus may nonetheless contact appropriate law enforcement authorities if Mt. Olympus deems it advisable or is required to do so by law. If minors claim to have been victims of sexual misconduct and appear to be without a parent/guardian at Mt. Olympus, then Mt. Olympus will seek to contact the parents by phone, but will likely contact the appropriate law enforcement authorities.
    • Public intoxication, unlawful drug use, vandalism or any other violation of City, County, State, Federal or Park Rules will result in ejection from Mt. Olympus without refund and possible criminal prosecution.
    • Entry into Employee-Only and other Non-Guest Areas. Many non-guest areas can pose deadly hazards—do NOT enter these areas. Guests are strictly prohibited from entering any area with obvious signage such as, “EMPLOYEE ONLY,” “NO ACCESS,” “KEEP OUT,” or “DO NOT ENTER.” However, it is also common sense that guests should refrain from entering any maintenance areas, workshops, offices, tool sheds, electrical rooms, ride motor rooms, etc., whether or not such areas are marked with signage. Offenders are subject to immediate ejection from Mt. Olympus, and where appropriate, such persons may be held by appropriate law enforcement authorities. Parents who allow their minors to engage in such activity will be ejected.
    • Please do not leave shoes, towels, bags, chairs or other items on pathways, stairs, in front of exits, emergency exits, elevators, or any other area that may pose a trip or blocking hazard to others.
    • Calling local law enforcement because you feel you were ejected from Mt. Olympus Resort unjustly, without refund, is wasting valuable city resources and your time.  Law enforcement will inform you that you need to leave the property or you may be cited for trespassing.
  • DRESS CODE
    • Management reserves the right to have guests change or cover any clothing or tattoos that are deemed by management to be offensive, obscene, foul, vulgar, profane, discriminatory, illegal, violent, sexual, nudity or hateful in nature.
    • Nudity and transparent or mesh-style material attempting to cover “private” areas is prohibited. Due to current trends and visitors from around the world, bikini bottoms and swimsuits that do not cover the entire buttocks are acceptable.
    • Wearing proper footwear is required when not in the water.
    • Swimwear is required to participate in the aquatic attractions.
    • Children in diapers and those being toilet trained must wear approved swim diapers in the water.
    • No clothing with rivets, spikes, fasteners, buckles, belts or metal ornaments.
    • No long pants or cut-off shorts.

Prohibited items may include, without limitation (depending on the specific ride), any form of headwear, scarves, long belts, fringed materials, high heels, loose footwear, wigs, purses, backpacks, or any dangling fabric. If you choose to wear unstable, loose, or ill-fitting shoes to Mt. Olympus (e.g., high heels, flip-flops, clogs, loose sandals or Crocs or slip-ons, etc.), realize that you are creating a hazard for yourself in a crowded Mt. Olympus, and you may not be able to partake in certain attractions. We urge you to wear secure, comfortable footwear.
    • If your clothing or swimwear does not comply with these regulations, appropriate attire is available for purchase at any of our gift stores.
    • Full face masks, costumes, or disguises that conceal identity, horror, or Halloween-style attire is not permitted.
  • LOOSE ARTICLES and LOCKERS
    • Loose articles such as purses, wallets, phones, backpacks, and bags should be left with non-riders or secured in lockers. Each attraction has its own requirements regarding loose articles including some rides where NO loose articles are permitted.
    • Mt. Olympus and its employees cannot, and does not, guarantee your security or that of your personal property (even if placed in a locker), and in no event will Mt. Olympus be held liable for your lost, stolen, or damaged possessions.

Olympus property for any purpose, including marketing, advertising, promotion, on social media, live streaming on the Internet, for safety and security, for documentation as evidence in a legal or criminal matter or other investigation, for news reporting, and otherwise in an unrestricted manner for legitimate purposes. All property ownership of such materials, and copyright in and to all such materials, shall belong exclusively to Mt. Olympus in perpetuity, without any compensation or other consideration to any guest or other person in, on, or around Mt. Olympus property, without payment or consideration therefore.

    • Inclement weather tends to result in people scrambling for shelter, including in buildings, or racing to get back to their car. People running in stormy weather pose slip/trip/fall hazards for themselves and others. People may be darting through Mt. Olympus lots, or around corners. Please proceed in an orderly and controlled fashion when seeking shelter from weather situations.
  • SHOPLIFTING

Shoplifting is not tolerated at Mt. Olympus. Shoplifters will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

  • PETS
    • Pets are not permitted in the park, with the exception of service animals.
    • Service animals do not override public health rules and thus are not allowed in swimming pools, including water features/fountains—or closer than 4 feet to the water on wet decks.
    • Service animal means a dog or pony that is trained to do work or perform tasks for, and to assist, an individual with a disability. All other animals, including emotional support, comfort or companion animals, are not considered service animals. Please be aware that you are still responsible for controlling the service animal on a leash or in a harness at all times. A service animal is also prohibited from all dry and water rides because rides are built for people, and because animals cannot be safely contained or restrained on amusement rides, they would thereby pose a serious safety hazard. Please understand that we may require the removal of your service animal from Mt. Olympus property if it poses a threat to persons or property, including without limitation, if it is unruly, threatening, aggressive (barking, snarling, biting at patrons, etc.), and/or if you are unable to control your animal at all times.  Make sure that your service animal has gone to the bathroom before coming to Mt. Olympus. Once at Mt. Olympus, if your animal needs to “go,” please do your best to steer the animal to an area off to the side on a grassy area, away from other patrons, if possible. We encourage you to ask a staff member where your animal might be directed.
    • Pets may not be left in or tied to an unattended vehicle in Mt. Olympus parking lot. In such an event, animal control (or other government authority) may be called, and your car forcibly entered into, to attend to the health or safety needs of an animal. You will have to pay all such costs involved in the rescue of any pet left in a car and may face animal cruelty charges from local authorities.

    • No standing on tables or chairs.
    • Multiple persons should never share the same single-person chair.

Any use, reuse or reproduction for commercial purposes without the expressed written consent of Mt. Olympus is prohibited (including without limitation, still or moving images, modeling shots, student films, comedy routines, documentaries, commercials, TV news, major motion picture films, Internet soap operas, reality TV, actor demo reels, submission videos for reality TV, footage as part of a school project, documentation of stunts and dangerous activities (whether for commercial use or not), promotional videos, music videos, cable programs, etc.), except where prior, written permission has been obtained from Mt. Olympus’s owner in the form of a contract signed by an executive within the corporate office.
